Premier
Hunting Day
Commencing in October 2011, we are delighted to announce the launch of our new
premium hunting experience.
We have secured the use of a stunning
Grampian Estate for these new dates. By default, this brings
us into the most incredible scenery, amazing topography
and most relevant to the hardened hunter, a very high volume
and variety of game! This allows us to present to you an
increased range of species of raptor to fly, in a wider
range of hunting styles.
Perhaps most attractive is the presence of significant hills and good breezes
on almost every day which makes the flying of the eagle far more impressive,
and in a style, much closer to that of her wild counterpart.
Despite the hills however, we have managed to make the new days accessible
to anyone with a reasonable degree of fitness. By utilising the Land Rovers
to traverse the vehicle accessible parts of the estate, we can make sure the
serious ascents and descents are taken care of mechanically! There is some
walking to be done, but we have managed to build the day so that the physical
strain is no greater than that experienced on the standard hunting days in
Fife. |

| Our motivation for the creation of this new
product was to find a way to create a publically accessible
day, that allows people who have either been on a standard
hunting day before, or have a real passion for raptors to
truly see the birds in a location more natural to them, to
see game most suited to each of the different species thus
matching them perfectly to their quarry, and have, in one
place, all the types of terrain and flora required to see
each species at its magnificent best. |

After
considerable negotiation with an estate on which we have
flown eagles and hawks since 1996, we have secured 9 weeks
annually to dedicate to the new product and a couple of
variations of it. Apart from the advantages already described,
we can also offer multiple days in each of the dedicated
weeks, and we can offer accommodation in the falconers
cottage should you wish to come on the evening before your
day, or take two or more consecutive days. The guests who
take two consecutive days or more, and elect to take a
night in the cottage have the added benefit (if they are
culinarily adventurous) of joining the falconers in the
preparation of the game taken each day, then enjoying it
as a delicious evening meal! |
